The World Robot Olympiad (WRO) is one of the biggest in the world. This is a key event in the
field of the latest educational technologies and educational programs, where the best
participants celebrate the achievements of the human mind.
The WRO Association has been building this training platform for 18 years in a row. The first
robotics competition took place in 2004, where 12 countries and 4,000 teams were represented. In
2022, the number has grown to more than 90 countries and already about 28,000 teams and 75,000
participants from around the world participate in local, regional and national competitions. The
finals of the World Robot Olympiad take place every year in different countries around the
world. Ukraine became a member of the WRO Association in 2009. In the same year, the first
national team selection for the finals of the World Robotic Olympiad was held. The WRO national
team selection in Ukraine takes place within the framework of All-Ukrainian
STEM-festival
ROBOTICA. The official representative of WRO in Ukraine is the NGO "Innovative
Educational
Technologies".
Robotics is a great platform for acquiring the skills needed in the 21st century. Solving
robotic problems gives rise to innovation, creativity and problem-solving skills. This will
later be reflected in the applied fields of science, engineering and computer programming.
During the tasks, young people work in a team, they learn together in an exciting way, so the
process of learning is as natural as breathing.
